This screensaver is a great slideshow which displays lots of images of our planet from space. You will see the Earth from different angles and altitudes, and even some of the satellites that are constantly moving around it. The images are of excellent quality and they are of different sizes, although none of them covers the screen completely. For this reason, you will see two black borders on each side of the images. By default, the pictures appear in random order and are repeated, and they are shown with different transition effects, which sadly, you cannot customize. Unfortunately, the images include an ugly caption at the top with the developer's name and website, which cannot be deleted; and the screensaver lacks music and sounds.
A good thing is that the slideshow can be controlled using predefined keyboard keys. From the Settings menu, you will be able to customize the transition effects time, and you can also enable a digital clock and slide number. You can also select their size, position, font color and style.
In short, if you are looking for a simple screensaver with great images of our planet taken from outer space, Picture of Earth Screensaver may be a good choice.
